The wise man shows the moon, the fool stares at the finger. Blog #5

Everyone is looking at the wrong place

When we want something in our life, we look at what we want and we focus all of our energy on hoping for things to go our way. When they don’t we feel bad and we emotionally beat ourself up for not being enough.

We want to remind ourselves kindly that in the constantly changing Universe there are just too many parameters in place for us to ever have any say over any outcomes in the first place. How foolish were we to ever believe otherwise ? And yet we do and we feel terrible as we watch those outcomes sliding away from our grasp and our confidence fading away.

It was never our fault, we keep on perpetrating subconsciously the emotional set up our parents and teachers gave us, like an archaic tradition or a curse, and as a result we keep on looking at the wrong place all the time. We try and change things from the place where they are happening, forgetting that an outcome is the end of a process and there is nothing we can add to it at that point.

Outcomes were never any of our business

We must loosen the tunnel vision and let go of the illusion of control and realise that it is just like staring at a pan of water in the hope that it boils quicker. As we develop the habit of staring at the outcomes of our life powerlessly it is very easy to feel overwhelmed. We end up constantly obsessing over targets and fixating on them at the expense of the source of all changes.

The catalyst to all changes are actions. All action stem from a thought. Which means that when we choose better thoughts we create better actions and we have a chance then at getting closer to that elusive outcome.

Focus on mastering the bow ands arrow before focusing on the target

A lot of my clients come to see me to get certain things they haven’t got and want in life. Happiness, love, balance, connection, success, health, wealth, praises… I ask them “what can I help you with ?” Many reply “Everything !!! My life is such a mess I don’t know where to start…”

“I then unequivocally teach them that we don’t need to change anything about their life, what we want to change is THEM, so they can become that person that will accept, welcome and nurture those things into their life naturally. And then with their collaboration I go on to change and upgrade their habit of thoughts and emotional set up and as they metamorphose so do their life accordingly and beautifully.

The way we think and feel about all things is down to the automatic pilots installed deep inside our subconscious mind so I always highlight how Rapid Transformational Therapy is the most powerful, efficient and quickest protocol to address this. Many assume naturally that I am biased since I am a certified RTT practitioner and I am indeed, but only because I have seen it work again and again, versus other psychotherapy and hypnotherapy methodologies that keep on failing people and creating hopelessness and aggravations in the long term.

My funny little secret

I was actually sceptical until the completion of my RTT diploma. In fact I didn’t even know the course I enrolled into with my last pennies was a hypnotherapy course. I always was in awe with Marisa Peer in regards to the depth of her knowledge of human psychology and I thought it was just that. As we started to hypnotise one another from day 1 of the course I didn’t like it. I could hypnotise others but it didn’t work on me. I could not see or feel anything in regression despite my best intentions. And then 3 days before the end of the course Marisa herself gave me a session, the magic happened, it was spectacular and mind blowing and the rest is history.

Everything starts in the mind

So in order to create changes in our life we must first address the mind. To address the mind It takes the right therapist, the right protocol and the right moment to catalyse that much needed shift. If your level of discomfort has become greater than the fear of change, if you are ready and can hear your gut instinct whispering to you that all the parameters required are finally in place and showing you a green light, don’t waste that signal.

I seem to remember reading about oriental ancestral Zen archery and how they traditionally teach the whole first year of training without arrow. That sums up pretty beautifully the way we want to learn to use the mind in relation to all the things we want in life.

Picture yourself having practiced for long enough without an arrow. RTT is the arrow.
